Our drama classes are open to all and are designed to build confidence, teach new skills, and discover theatre in a fun creative setting. For older children and adults, there is also the opportunity to perform at Blackwood Miners’ Institute. Your first class is free so why not pop along!

Pre School Drama

This class is for under 5s and their parents and is a fun, creative introduction to theatre through age-appropriate games and play.
Primary Drama

Life Drawing
Starting 10th February 2026
Ages 18+ | 12:30pm – 2:30pm | £5 (£30 for six week course)
Explore life drawing and the art of capturing the human form with T Bryan Fine Art. Learn essential techniques to observe proportion, movement, and composition, while developing the skills needed to confidently draw the body from head to toe.

Blackwood Youth Dance
Contemporary dance is an expressive dance style which combines various elements from other dance styles, such as jazz, lyrical and ballet. Contemporary can be danced to any form of music or sound and can vary in style from strong and powerful, lyrical or abstract. Dancers are given to opportunity to express themselves and hone their creativity.

Tip Toes
5-8 Years | 4:15pm – 5:00pm | £4.00
Tip Toes is for children of primary school age to introduce dancing to our younger dancers. In these classes we help our dancers practise their essential motor skills alongside teaching the foundations of dance co-ordination, music and rhythm.
